We love an unusual wedding setting and we were not disappointed by Amy & Calum’s …
As far as wedding venues go the beautiful Duddingston Kirk and Prestonfield House are up there with the best so it was a delight to photograph Julie and Sean’s gorgeous Edinburgh wedding last March. Duddingston Kirk where Julie and Sean performed their wedding ceremony is nestled at the foot of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh and can claim to be one of the oldest churches in the East of Scotland! The celebrations were then celebrated at the opulent Prestonfield House. Built in 1687 the Hotel was once the home of Edinburghs Lord Provost. It is now a gorgeous, luxury five star hotel!
We started the day by photographing Julie’s preparations in an unobtrusive documentary style and continued right through until the celebrations in the evening. In between the ceremony and the wedding meal we whisked Julie and Sean away for some relaxed and natural portraits, making the most of the elegant surroundings! We thoroughly enjoyed photographing this wedding and had a great day. Julie and Sean both looked amazing, were a great couple to work with and all their guests were fantastic. We are so lucky to do this as a job. Thank you and congratulation!
