Our Gorgeous Baby Daughter.

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Sometimes the best photographs just happen! I think that that statement can be applied to these photographs Andrew took of our nine month old daughter Cara the other day. Being a typical photographer he hijacked a wee moment when I was trying to take some photographs of Cara myself and of course the results are just gorgeous, brings a warm glow to my heart!

Unwrapped 16th – 27th March Void Gallery, Patrick Street, Derry

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

collection of objects on brown paperDuring the winter months Emmett had the privilege of working with the community in his home town of Derry for a project  which looked at self identity in older age, we called it Me, Myself, I. The organisers felt it offered many unique opportunities to those who would take part: new skills in Digital Photography, some computer skills, the opportunity to explore a more positive self image and then a challenging photographic exploration of their lives, through a series of four photographic themes: Self Portrait, My World, Transitions and My Dreams. We felt the results was worthy of a title of it’s own and so we called the exhibition “UNWRAPPED”.

Emmett really enjoys doing this kind of work as passing on his skills and working with different areas of the community to reach an end result, gives a great sense of achievement and satisfaction.www.wea-ni.com/learning-age-project/unwrapped-exhibition-launch

Glasgow Festival for International Art

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

During April Emmett had an interesting assignment photographing an art instillation during the Glasgow Festival for International Art. It is always interesting and refreshing photographing unusual commissions as it offers a stark contrast to our main line of work, wedding photography, and keeps us on our toes creatively!
