Sophia & Eds Private Garden Banffshire Wedding
If you want a wedding day that feels entirely your own, hosting your reception in a garden teepee is hard to beat. Sophia and Ed tied the knot at St Margaret’s Church in Charlestown of Aberlour before taking the party home to a private garden in Drummuir for their Banffshire wedding.
The contrast between the traditional stone church in Aberlour and the relaxed, festival-style teepee setup worked brilliantly. It’s always a pleasure documenting days where there’s zero rush or rigid scheduling—just family and friends enjoying a proper catch-up in a place that actually means something to the couple.
Following the church service, we made the most of the garden surroundings for some relaxed, candid portraits. We kept things moving smoothly so Sophia and Ed could get straight back to their guests. It was an absolute treat to photograph this Banffshire wedding, from the ceremony right through to the warm light inside the teepee as the dancing underway.
