Lucy & Philip’s Cosy Wedding in Gretna Green at the Blacksmiths Shop
Lucy and Philip’s wedding in Gretna Green at the Blacksmiths Shop was a true celebration of love, laughter, and tradition—even with a bit of rain! March brought a typical dreich Scottish day, but this lovely couple kept their spirits high, making the most of the cosy, intimate setting of this historic venue.
Gretna Green is famous for its runaway weddings, and Lucy and Philip embraced that history by choosing the Blacksmiths Shop for their special day. With the rain gently falling outside, the warmth of the ceremony inside felt even more special. The sound of the raindrops on the roof adding to the cosy atmosphere.
Afterwards, despite the drizzle, we stepped out into the village to capture some beautiful moments. Lucy and Philip didn’t let the rain bother them at all. In fact, it seemed to make everything even more magical. Armed with an umbrella and a sense of adventure, they laughed and embraced the weather, turning what could have been a challenge into a fun and memorable part of the day. This wedding in Gretna Green was a perfect example of how love can shine through, no matter the weather.
