A Festive Edinburgh Elopement Wedding at Prestonfield House
It was such an honour to be wedding photographer for Kirsten and Robert’s Edinburgh elopement wedding last December. Choosing the gorgeous Prestonfield House for their wedding ceremony, Kirsten and Robert couldn’t have selected and more cosy venue. The Christmas decorations and roaring fires setting the scene perfectly for a winter Scottish Wedding!
The Wedding Day
I arrived at Prestonfield House, which is just south of Edinburgh, about an hour before the wedding ceremony. Kirsten and Robert were looking for coverage of their intimate wedding ceremony, followed by some relaxed and natural wedding portraits. Taking place in front of a fabulous Christmas tree, the ceremony was loving and warm. With only Kirsten, Robert, the registrar and two witnesses present the occasion was truly special!
After the ceremony, we took a stroll in the stunning grounds of Prestonfield House to photograph some wedding portraits. Kirsten and Robert were so laid back and fun, and this is really reflected in their photographs. To complete the day we then took a trip to the seaside! Portobello Beach is a beautiful location for some relaxed coastal wedding photographs. We had such a great time there taking in the sea air while taking some photographs!
