Celtic Handfasting Ceremony in an Atmospheric Glencoe

Glencoe has a way of making any ceremony feel atmospheric, especially on a warm day in early summer. Kirsty and Kyle headed north for a quiet June Glencoe elopement, choosing a traditional Celtic handfasting right in the heart of the glen.
I love to photograph intimate elopements in Glencoe. With the dramatic mountains behind them and the brooding clouds in the sky, the entire ceremony felt special and deeply personal from start to finish.
After they tied the knot, we spent a couple of hours exploring together, heading down through Glen Etive for a few portraits in the valley before stopping by Glencoe Lochan for a stroll around the water. Wrapping up as the late June afternoon light settled over the trees was a brilliant end to a low-key, memorable day.
