Relaxed Trades Hall Elopement Wedding Glasgow – After a tough winter of months long lockdown, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was amazing to be out there photographing weddings again. Initially planning a larger wedding, with friends and family, Catherine and Paul had a rethink of plans when it was clear future guidance was still uncertain. With strict restrictions still in place, Catherine and Paul decided on a relaxed elopement wedding in Glasgow’s Merchant City’s beautiful Trades Hall.
I love to shoot natural wedding photography, specialising in small and elopement weddings. For the majority of my weddings I have the pleasure of traveling to the stunning Scottish Highlands. To photograph an elopement in Glasgow City, with it’s equally beautiful Victorian architecture, was a rare treat!
With the cool early April sun shining, I began coverage during Catherines final preparations and was allowed to photograph up to the beginning of the ceremony. Sadly restrictions on numbers meant I could not photograph the ceremony it’s self. However, we had a great time making use of the ornate hall and the surrounding streets once the ceremony was complete. The highlight being a first dance in George Square!
