Elopement in the Cairngorms: Jenichelle & Esther's Winter Wedding Adventure
There’s something extra special about a winter elopement in the Cairngorms, and Jenichelle and Esther’s January wedding was nothing short of magical. Against the stunning, snow-dusted backdrop of the Highlands, these two celebrated their love in the most intimate and adventurous way.
The Wedding Day
Their day started at the charming Kingussie Registry Office, where they exchanged vows in a simple, heartfelt ceremony. The crisp winter air outside only added to the cosy atmosphere inside, making it a perfect setting for their union. With the Highlands as their witness and a few close friends by their side, it was clear that this day was all about love and connection.
After the ceremony, we ventured into the wild beauty of the Cairngorms for some unforgettable winter photos. Our first stop was Feshie Bridge, where the frosty landscape created a stunning contrast against the couple’s warmth and happiness. The River Feshie flowed gently beneath the bridge, surrounded by s trees and rugged hills—an ideal spot to capture their love against the raw beauty of the Highlands in winter.
Next, we headed to the hills behind Kingussie, where the wide-open moors, covered in a delicate layer of frost, stretched out beneath the pale winter sky. The late afternoon light was soft and golden, casting an glow over the distant hills. Jenichelle and Ester embraced the chill, as we wandered through the frozen lanscape, making memories that would last a lifetime.
This elopement in the Cairngorms was truly something special. The combination of winter’s quiet beauty, the stunning locations of Kingussie, Feshie Bridge, and Newtonmore, and the deep love between Jenichelle and Ester made for an unforgettable day. It was an honour to capture their story amidst the wild, wintery landscapes of the Highlands.
