Autumn Glasgow Wedding Photography in the Heart of the City Center
The best thing about working as a wedding photographer in Scotland is the sheer diversity of all the possible places wedding couples can choose to celebrate their wedding day. I am spoiled with many opportunities to photograph weddings in the beautiful Scottish countryside, but I am equally delighted when I get the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Scotland’s biggest city, and my home town, the vibrant City of Glasgow. The grand Victorian architecture on display is a wedding photographers dream. Royal Exchange Square right smack bang in the centre of the city is no exception, named after the former Royal Exchange building, now the Gallery of Modern Art and its prominent Greek style columns.
Situated among Royal Exchange Square’s many bustling cafes, bar and restaurants is 29 Glasgow Private Members Club, an established and popular wedding venue. I had the honour of working as wedding photographer at 29 Glasgow for Heather and Allan gorgeous wedding last Autumn. Wedding photography coverage began a couple of hours before the ceremony began at Heather’s hotel, this helped me capture all those little details of the Heather’s wedding preparations and really capture the anticipation of the day and begin the telling of Heather and Allan’s wedding story.
Coverage continued as Heather and Allan arrived at 29 Glasgow for their beautiful wedding ceremony, watched on by close friends and family. The love and pride felt was clear to see in both Heather and Allan’s faces as they said their wedding vows. Once the ceremony was completed, I accompanied Heather and Allan and their wedding party out into Royal Exchange Square to make the most of that amazing Glasgow City Centre setting. The wedding photography continued right through the speeches (the best expressions are captured here!) until the evening dancing and celebrations were well under way. At that point I left Heather and Allan to continue their celebrations with their nearest and dearest, delighted to have been able to capture and tell the story of this moment in their history together.
