Wilderness Celtic Handfasting Ceremony for Libby & Paddy's Spectacular Loch Maree Elopement

If you’re going to elope in Scotland, you might as well go all in on the landscape. Libby and Paddy did exactly that, choosing the wilderness around Loch Maree and Beinn Eighe for a breathtaking location for their Celtic handfasting elopement.
We met up at their log cabin for some last minute preparations and a first look before heading off the Loch Maree for the ceremony. Before long, we were heading up the path onto Beinn Eighe to find a bit of higher ground. We stopped at a beautiful, elevated spot that gives you a panoramic view of the whole expanse below. It really felt like the edge of the world up there.
Their Celtic handfasting took place right on the open rock, just the two of them binding their hands together with the hills looking on. Once the vows were done, we stuck to the high ground for a while. We took our time exploring the surrounding area. There was no pressure, which is exactly why elopements work so well. It was just a relaxed, warm afternoon documenting two lovely folk starting out together in a magnificent place.
