Maxine & Fawne's Gorgeous Laid Back Clachtoll Beach Elopement Wedding
I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to blog the photography from this amazing Clachtoll Beach elopement wedding! Situated in the beautiful and dramatic Assynt region of the Scottish Highlands, Clachtoll is a stunning location with a beach of golden white sand. Having visited near by village Lochinver a few times in the past, and loved it, I was excited to photograph a wedding in this area of the Highlands of Scotland!
The Wedding Day
I met with Maxine and Fawne at their fun accommodation, The Little Abodes glamping pods right next to Clochtoll Beach. Photography began just as they were putting, with the aid of Georgie Hair Stylist, based in Ullapool, the final touches to their preparations. Having planned an outdoor wedding, the ceremony was to be conducted on the beach its self, next the the turquoise waters of the North Atlantic Sea. Making their way to the beach you could sense the excitement, and the lovely ceremony was conducted by Evelyn of Fuze Ceremonies Afterward Maxine and Fawne were joined by two of the cutest alpacas!
Maxine and Fawne were so much fun to work with. After the ceremony was complete we took a wee tour of the surrounding area, home to some of the most dramatic scenery in the Scottish Highlands, including a trip to the epic Wailing Widows waterfall at Loch na Gainmhich. Nothing seemed to faze this amazing couple not even the more than breezy weather or a paddle in the icy North Atlantic!
