Beautiful Elopement Wedding at Red Point Beach near Shieldaig Lodge, Gairloch
Shieldaig Lodge Wedding – We absolutely relish visiting new locations in the Scottish Highlands for our wedding photography, so we were delighted when Sarah and James asked us to photograph their elopement wedding at Gairloch in Wester Ross, a place we have never visited before, at the beginning of June.
After meeting Sarah and James the evening before to go over all their plans for the wedding day, we arrived at Shieldaig Lodge, a quintessentially Scottish Highland Lodge, to begin coverage as they put the final touches to their preparations. Once everyone was ready we headed out to Red Point Beach, a gobsmackingly beautiful setting for the wedding ceremony, complete with the Waverley, the last sea going paddle steamer in the world, passing by in the distance! After the intimate ceremony was complete, which we were also honoured to act as witnesses to, we made the most of the surrounding scenery for the photography, including the amazing beach and a near by tranquil coastal inlet.
We had an wonderful time covering Sarah and James’s elopement and we have our fingers crossed we will get the visit Gairloch again in the future!
