Intimate Lodge on Loch Goil Wedding // Snowy Glencoe Post Wedding Shoot

It was great to travel through the West Coast Scottish Highlands to photograph Victoria and Nicks beautiful and intimate Lodge on Loch Goil wedding. There was a dusting of snow on the hills and typically fresh Scottish February weather, The Lodge on Loch Goil makes a perfect cosy wedding venue for a winter ceremony.

In our conversations in the time running up to the wedding Victoria and Nick suggested splitting the photography over two days, the first to cover their small family wedding ceremony and the amazing Lodge on Loch Goil. The second an outdoor shoot in the grandeur of Glencoe. I though this was an brilliant idea as I love the surroundings and scenery of both locations!

On the wedding day itself I began coverage as Victoria was having the final touches of her make up completed by the talented Laura from Hair Beauty Bridal. The ceremony was held at the romantic loch side Summerhouse. Typically the Scottish weather wasn’t playing but that didn’t detract from the lovely ceremony and the breath-taking surroundings.

I stayed right until after the meal, where a fantastic fireworks display was followed by toasted marshmallows by the outdoor fire pit

A few days later when the sun was out I met with this lovely family at the Kings House Hotel for the second photoshoot. It was so much fun to tour about the area and make the most of the snowy landscape. Victoria, Nick and family were up for an adventure and amazing to work with. I was envious of them staying on for their honeymoon in the area as I headed back down to Glasgow!
