An Intimate Outdoor Celebration by the Lochside at Achray House Hotel

Pauline and Florent’s Achray House Hotel Wedding was a perfect example of how small celebrations can be full of character. Nestled in Perthshire on the shores of Loch Earn, Achray House provided a stunning setting for their outdoor ceremony and the rest of their day.
The day began with a quiet buzz of excitement as I joined Pauline and Florent for their preparations. Pauline got ready in one of Achray House’s beautifully appointed rooms, surrounded by her closest friends. The morning light streaming through the windows made for soft, natural portraits of her finishing touches and the final moments before stepping into the day. Over on the groom’s side, Florent’s preparations were equally relaxed, and we captured candid moments of him straightening his tie and sharing laughs with his family.
The ceremony itself was held right by the loch, with the calm water and surrounding hills creating a naturally beautiful backdrop. It was a simple, outdoor setup that blended seamlessly with the environment. The setting added a unique charm to the ceremony, making it both personal and picturesque.
After the ceremony, we explored the area for photographs. The grounds of Achray House, with their scenic views of the loch and hills, offered plenty of inspiration.
As evening fell, the celebrations continued inside the cosy dining room at Achray House. Between speeches, laughter, and delicious food, I captured the energy and warmth of the gathering. The couple’s first dance added a lovely, intimate touch to the evening, with soft lighting setting the mood for those special final photographs.
If you’re considering an Achray House Hotel Wedding, it’s a fantastic choice for couples who want a venue with a connection to the outdoors and the charm of a smaller celebration.
A massive shout out to Gabrielle, of French Wedding in Scotland, who did an amazing job planning Pauline and Florent’s day. Also talented Robin Turnbull Pagpiper and amazing celebrant Beverly Bryant.
