Sophie & Shaun's Relaxed Edinburgh City Wedding // Edinburgh Wedding Photographer
I had an amazing day as the wedding photographer for Sophie and Shaun’s wedding. It was a perfect example of why a small wedding Edinburgh works so well. They chose the historic Edinburgh City Chambers for their ceremony, with just their closest family there to witness the vows. From a photography perspective, Edinburgh in September is hard to beat; the light has a particular quality to it as the seasons start to shift.
As a photographer, I find these smaller days have a very easy going pace. After the ceremony, we went for a short walk through the nearby streets for some portraits. The September light was soft and suited the city’s stone architecture perfectly. The day ended with a gathering of friends and family for a relaxed and fun evening party—the perfect way to mark the occasion.
