Glencoe Elopement Photographer // Intimate Highland Wedding

A few frames from this lovely Glencoe Lochan elopement on a quiet October day with Deborah and Ralph. They chose the shelter of the woodland trail at Glencoe Lochan for their ceremony, keeping things simple, personal, and brief. It was a typical autumn day in the Highlands—grey skies, still water, and no wind to speak of.

As a photographer, I appreciate the slow pace of days like this. Following their Glencoe Lochan elopement and some time in breathtaking Glencoe, we took a short drive through the pass and down into Glen Etive, stopping at a few spots along the road as the weather shifted across the hills.

There was no fixed schedule or shot list to get through. We just walked, took in the landscape, and let the day happen as it unfolded. It was an easy, understated way to mark the day, and a reminder of why smaller weddings work so well in these places.
