Caroline & Raphael's Intimate Scottish Highlands Elopement on the Stunning Isle of Kerrera
It was such an honour to be asked to photograph Caroline and Raphael’s Scottish elopement wedding at the end of April. Choosing the breath-taking location of the Isle of Kerrera, a short ferry ride from Oban, Caroline and Raphael held their traditional Scottish handfasting ceremony at Gylen Castle. The mix of history and landscape were a perfect back drop for this beautiful elopement.
Travelling all the way from France, Caroline and Raphael were staying at the Manor House Hotel in Oban where I met them to begin shooting preparation photographs and a lovely first look! From there we caught the ferry to Kerrera where humanist celebrant Alan Barr held the handfasting ceremony on the shore at the foot of the Castle. I had such a great time capturing this wedding, everything about it was perfect, and I hope to be back on Kerrera soon!
Big thanks to Gabrielle from Weddings by Gabrielle for connecting me with lovely Caroline and Raphael!
